Privacy notice

The birth date, time and place you enter, and every chart and tarot reading drawn from them, are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not sent to a server, not written to a database, and cannot be seen by anyone else visiting the site.

Clearing your browser data deletes them, and there is a delete button beside each saved chart. Because there is no server copy, a chart cannot be recovered once you remove it.

The one exception is downloading a PDF: your chart details are sent to the server for the moments it takes to draw the document, then discarded. They are not stored or logged.

To turn a birthplace into coordinates and a historical time-zone offset, the place name you type is sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service. Nothing identifying accompanies it.

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own pages and never reach Astro Nox. From a completed payment this site receives the Stripe session identifier, which item was bought, your email address and the last four digits of the card; that record lives in your Stripe receipt and in Stripe's dashboard, and is used to prove your purchase and to find it again if you lose your browser.

Proof of purchase is held in your browser as a signed cookie. It contains only which items you bought and their Stripe session identifiers — no card data, no name, no birth data.

If you give your email address to be told when Astro Nox opens, it is stored only for that purpose and only until launch mail has been sent. It is never sold, shared or added to any other list, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.

Astro Nox sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. The only cookies are functional: the signed proof-of-purchase cookie described above, and, before launch, a cookie marking the owner's own preview browser.

Because charts are held on your device, you can inspect and erase them yourself at any time. For anything held by Stripe — a receipt, an email address, a card fingerprint — or to be removed from the launch list, write to astronoxlux@gmail.com and it will be actioned.
